Subterranean Heating and Cooling System - SHCS - is an innovative approach to optimized solar greenhouse heating and cooling design that uses the magic of phase-change for heat exchange.
This proven system can heat your greenhouse for operating costs for as little as 7 cents per square foot per year! in sunny Ag Zone 4. Supplementary heating and fan cooling costs are often eliminated!

I am still wrapping my head around this one...wondering if it is possible to apply this somehow to an indoor grow too (without getting too messy)...for heating, cooling and dehumidification

If you are useing a house that is pier and beam then you could do it with a few days crawling under house pretty easy if on a slab it looks like you would have to do the system in a backyard then run ducting to draw air / return air where it is needed just the thoughts off the top of my head :)
